SMITHFIELD – Thieves have stolen an enclosed trailer owned by the American Red Cross. The white cargo trailer with red “Red Cross” lettering on the sides was taken from a parking lot behind the American Red Cross office at 801 S. Third Street in Smithfield.
The theft was reported to Smithfield Police on February 10. The trailer was filled with supplies used by the Red Cross. The trailer was valued at $3,000.
Anyone with information about the stolen Red Cross trailer is asked to contact the Smithfield Police Department at 919-934-2121. Callers may remain anonymous.
