Rep. Nickel Announces Membership Into The Bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representative Wiley Nickel (NC-13) has announced his membership into the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus for the 118th Congress.

The Problem Solvers Caucus, a bipartisan working group equally divided between Democrats and Republicans, is committed to finding common ground on many of the key issues facing the nation.

“I’m excited to join the Problem Solvers Caucus during the 118th Congress,” said Representative Wiley Nickel (NC-13). “Under the leadership of co-chairs Josh Gottheimer and Brian Fitzpatrick, the Problem Solvers Caucus has navigated narrow margins to deliver common sense solutions and meaningful bipartisan legislation. The 118th Congress will be no different, and we need to continue to put forth ideas and legislation that can clear both Chambers of Congress and get on to the President’s desk. I look forward to working with Democrats and Republicans on the Problem Solvers Caucus to get things done for the American people.”

“Last Congress, from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill and the CHIPs Act, to historic gun safety legislation, the Problem Solvers Caucus helped enact meaningful legislation to move the nation forward,” said Problem Solvers Caucus Co-Chair Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-05). “As the size and strength of the new PSC class shows, it’s clear that there is growing enthusiasm to break through the gridlock and get things done. This is all about putting commonsense over extremism.”

“I’m honored to be re-elected co-chair of the Problem Solvers Caucus alongside my friend Congressman Gottheimer, and I’m thrilled to welcome our returning and new members,” said Problem Solvers Caucus Co-Chair Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01). ““Our Caucus has a lot of room for legislative accomplishments and consensus building in the 118th Congress, and I look forward to working with this group of colleagues to deliver for the American people.”

  1. Bipartisanship simple means RINOs giving in to dem wishes! I bet there aren’t any America First representatives on this committee.

    • Amen Jen R, Bipartisan always means Dems get 90% of what they want and give us a few irrelevant crumbs. We have to primary and vote out spineless Republicans whom love to “loose with dignity” while our country goes down the toilet.

        • Just because you don’t agree with them doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be included in discussions for advancing bills. If this group truly wanted to be bipartisanship they would include all viewpoints including the far left progressives and the america first representatives.

      • Hello Jen R — Do you happen to have the list of America First representatives? I’d like to cross check. So far I’ve found Ben Cline (R-VA) who also belongs to the Freedom Caucus in addition to the Problem Solvers Caucus. But I’m not sure if the Freedom Caucus is the same as the America First group of representatives. Thanks!

        • The freedom caucus is not the same as america first. I don’t have a full list off hand but they include Matt Gaetz, jim Jordan, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert and several others I can’t think of off the top of my head at this moment.

          • All the names you listed are now members of the Freedom Caucus. I did find this: “In April 2021, a faction within the Freedom Caucus, led by Paul Gosar and Marjorie Taylor Greene, attempted to form a new splinter group called the America First Caucus, along with Matt Gaetz. Senior members of the Freedom Caucus reportedly reacted with “fury” to the proposal, with Ken Buck publicly denouncing it. The new caucus was later scrapped.”

          • Jen all those listed are so far right that no sane person would ever listen to them or their traitorous viewpoints. I love seeing them totally fail with their recent committee hearings, Jamie Raskins doesn’t play around with these fools. It is glorious to watch. Italy and Germany had these types before. No, the US does not need these types of people in our government nor do we need to listen to them since they spout Russian and Chinese propaganda..like Matt did not too long ago during a hearing. Love when they get fact checked..

  3. “Problem solvers caucus”…… that is laughable. Should be called “Problem Creators”. Politicians are corrupt to the core. Anyone who thinks they can solve problems are cuckoo.

  4. Bring back the Tea Party — the only true Conservatives that understand the real goal: SMALLER government and LESS spending. Everything else is a joke. #VoteOutIncumbents

  5. Leighlah I think you have the America first agenda and the progressive liberal agenda confused! So if you believe the America first representatives are “too far right” to deserve a seat at the table do you believe the same for the “too far left” people as well or do you discriminate only against those that don’t have the same viewpoints as you?
