Report: Gun Allegedly Pulled In Parking Space Dispute
CLAYTON – A verbal dispute over a parking space escalated when a gun was allegedly pulled out by one of the people involved.
The incident happened June 23 on Anna Drive, off Veterans Parkway (NC 42 West), near Clayton.
A 40 year-old man said he was allegedly confronted over where his work truck was parked. Words were exchanged, the two men reportedly began shoving one another, and a gun was displayed.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office responded and spoke with both people involved in the altercation. The man alleged to have displayed a gun denied having a firearm.
Because law enforcement officers didn’t witness the confrontation, or could verify a gun was displayed, the individuals were advised to speak with a magistrate if they wished to pursue criminal charges.
No injuries were reported.

Over a parking space? Come on people. We can do better.
Obviously, they can’t do better.
But let the legislature in NC allow every person who wants to
Open Carry have a weapon at their disposal.
Is that a society we can live with ??
Only a matter of time before we ALL encounter such a fool
with a gun.
Guns have rights!
