SMITHFIELD – After more than five decades of service, Walter A. “Andy” Holland Jr. is retiring. Mr. Holland was appointed as Staff Attorney for the Johnston County Department of Social Services in April 1974.
For the past 50 years, Mr. Holland has served Johnston County as a special attorney for the Department of Social Services and Child Support Services. He has handled thousands of cases.
After a long and distinguished career, Mr. Holland is retiring from his law practice.
On April 15, Johnston County Commissioners honored Mr. Holland with a plaque and a resolution thanking him for 50 years of service to the County of Johnston.
Commissioner Patrick Harris made the presentation.
