The Johnston County Public School Board has approved a revised 2020-2021 school calendar for the Early College Academy (ECA) and the Career and Technical Leadership Academy (CTLA).
In May, Senate Bill 207 was signed into law with new school calendar requirements. School systems across the state had two options. The first was to adopt a calendar with 190 instructional days with either 185 days of instruction in class plus 5 remote learning days from home. Or, school systems could adopt a calendar with 1,025 hours of classroom instruction that would also include 5 remote learning days and 5 in-person days.
The 2020-2021 calendar for Early College and CTLA was revised, and unanimously approved by the school board, to comply with the new calendar requirements of the Senate Bill.
