A Johnston County home was struck 7 times by bullets fired from a rifle. Luckily, a 50 year-old woman inside the home was not hurt. Now sheriff’s investigators want to know who fired the shots and why.
Around 2:00am Saturday the victim said she was awakened by the sounds of a “popping” noise at her home on Falling Creek Court outside of Clayton. She did not investigate until the next morning. That’s when she discovered multiple bullet holes in her home. The residence sustained about $2,000 in damage.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
