Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson and US Rep. Dan Bishop, NC-8, urged Americans to fight for the ‘survival of the nation’ at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) currently underway in a Maryland suburb of Washington, D.C.

The two North Carolinians were guest speakers at the annual conference, which runs Wednesday through Saturday and features the nation’s top conservative leaders.

During Robinson’s speech on Thursday, he touted North Carolina’s strong economic standing and highlighted the significant turnaround since 2010, when the state faced significant debt and struggled with high taxes and stringent regulations.

“Then Republicans took over in 2010. And now, 13 years later, not only do we find ourselves not one dime in debt to the federal government, we have a $5 billion surplus,” he proudly stated. “And for two years running, North Carolina is the number one business destination according to many major publications. We have a firm financial footing. Everyone wants to come to North Carolina to do business.”

Robinson advocated for education reform, parental control over children’s education, and improving the overall well-being of the state’s residents. He is running in the Republican primary against State Treasurer Dale Folwell and businessman Bill Graham for governor.

Bishop, who is running unopposed in the primary election for North Carolina’s attorney general, spoke on Friday alongside Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton about the importance of fighting back. He stressed the significant impact of the state attorney general’s authority, describing it as a powerful tool in the political toolkit.

“We need more soldiers on the field who can make a difference,” Bishop said. “We’ve also got to use every tool at our disposal to fight them back. And that’s why I’m going to run for North Carolina’s Attorney General.”

  1. I love he is taking credit when he can’t even be bothered to show up to be president of the senate more than 10% of the time during his tenure. It’s all just talking points and no action with Robinson. Vote him out and vote for Folwell who is all abt action! #voteoutincumbents

      • Um you need to do some research as Folwell is anything but a lib and neither am I. Folwell is a constitutional conservative who is currently our treasurer and doing an amazing job. He is more conservative than Robinson and actually takes a stand on issues, is willing to debate Robinson and is endorsed by people other than RINOs.

  2. Wasn’t it at CPAC that they stated they want to destroy democracy? Yep I’m going to support this Idoit.
