A Clayton man was arrested for allegedly cutting his roommate with a machete.
36-year-old Marvin Ordonez Moya was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and given a $50,000 secured bond.
The victim said he came home from work to his house on Lakeview Drive and was making dinner in the kitchen when Moya, who had been sleeping, walked out of the bedroom and began arguing with him. Moya then grabbed a machete and as the victim was trying to block the blade, he was cut seriously across his fingers.
The victim was eventually able to fend off the attack, retrieve the machete and throw it outside until Clayton Police officers could arrive.
