US Congressman David Rouzer is hosting a Resource Fair to help senior citizens get the answers to any questions they may have regarding benefits, legal matters, healthcare needs, and more. The Resource Fair will take place on Wednesday, September 20 at 9 a.m.at the Peggy M. Seegars Senior Center in Goldsboro.
Staff from the Social Security Administration and state and local government will be on hand to go over benefits and services offered, discuss the aging process and what to expect, provide information on various Medicare programs, as well as to answer specific questions.
“Our Senior Resource Fairs seek to put North Carolina senior citizens in touch with individuals and experts who can educate and answer questions about benefits, resources, legal matters, health tips and more,” Congressman Rouzer said. “This is our third year hosting a Senior Citizens Resource Fair and, I look forward to continuing hosting them so that seniors have the opportunity to improve their quality of life, stay engaged in their communities and learn more about how to prepare for the issues typically faced during the sunset years.”
The event will run from 9am until 11am on Sept. 20th.
