BENSON – A Benson-area resident said their home safe and cash was stolen during a break-in. The victim, who lives on Ennis Road, said someone entered their home between 8:00pm Monday and 12:20am Tuesday, removing a small safe, gold necklace, gold ring, shotgun, rifle, and undisclosed amount of cash.
The victim said when he returned home early Tuesday morning he noticed the back door open and a deadbolt lock damaged. Some drywall inside the home was also damaged.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to call authorities.
