Local and state investigators have ruled the cause of a fire that destroyed a Johnston County home last week as arson. On Thursday, April 22nd at 11:19am, Johnston and Nash county fire departments responded to a working house fire at 8203 Flower Hill Road, Middlesex.
Crews from the Antioch, Corinth Holders and Middlesex Fire Departments worked for 30 minutes to bring the blaze under control. The home was completely destroyed.
County Fire Marshal Adam Stanley said no one was at home at the time and no injuries were reported.
Investigators said the fire was intentionally set. The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office and NC SBI are now assisting with the investigation.
