SC Men Caught With Narcotics During I-40 Traffic Stop, JCSO Says

BENSON – Two South Carolina men were arrested after allegedly being caught with a large quantity of cocaine. On July 26, a Johnston County deputy sheriff conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 40 near Benson for a violation.

During the traffic stop, a large, undisclosed, amount of suspected cocaine was seized.

Alejandro Prito Palma, age 23, of Johnston, SC and Gerardo Calzada, age 32, of Edgefield, SC were charged with multiple counts of trafficking cocaine.

Both men were held under $350,000 secured bonds at the Johnston County Detention Center.
