Search Warrant Executed At Johnston County Home

ANGIER – Law enforcement agencies in two counties are continuing to investigate after a search warrant was executed at a Johnston County home, Wednesday afternoon.

Deputies with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office were asked to assist Dunn and Erwin Police with the search warrant, in the 2000 block of County Line Road, Angier, just inside Johnston County.

Authorities said they found suspected methamphetamine in plain sight, along with two small children, ages 3 and 5, living in what was described as unsanitary conditions. The Johnston County Department of Social Services was notified and responded.

Tomas Guerra, age 41, of Dakota Lane, Dunn, a Johnston County address, was arrested for possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. It is unknown if Guerra is related to the two children who were at the County Line Road address.

On Thursday, Dunn and Erwin Police confirmed Guerra is part of an ongoing investigation. They declined to release any further details at this time.

Guerra was held on a $50,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Detention Center.

  1. Sad for the kids to live like that. I’m glad they did not get hold of the drugs. The man is an animal. I don’t understand $50,000 bond. He had a gun and drugs that could have killed the kids in the house. This animal needs to be put in a cage for a long time. Good job to all the LEOs involved. Shame on the Judge.
