MEADOW COMMUNITY – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office STAR Team and Detectives Division executed a search warrant early this morning (Wednesday).
Agents descended upon a dilapidated single wide mobile home on Denn Field Lane, off Holly Grove Road, in the Meadow community, around 6:00am. The property has a Dunn address but is inside Johnston County.
Two people were taken into custody for questioning.
The search warrant stems from the homicide of 57 year-old Emmanuel Kwame Gbedbee of Durham. Gbedee was found shot to death in a car on Holly Grove Road near Godwin Lake Road at 1:06am Sunday, Jan. 12.
Prior to arriving at the scene Sunday morning, officers were told a suspicious person dressed in all black was walking around a shelter at the address.
No additional information has been released.
