A second person has been indicted on attempted murder charges following the shootings of several people at a Four Oaks nightclub last year.
This month, a Grand Jury returned a True Bill of Indictment against James Thomas Rhodes, 28, of Hurricane Lane, Clinton on four counts of attempted first-degree murder, and one count each of discharging a weapon into occupied property causing serious bodily injury and discharging a weapon into occupied property.
In February, Andrew Ellis, 29, of Saturn Drive, Dunn was indicated on the same charges.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office says the two men are responsible for the shootings of 5 people at a nightclub in the 2300 block of Strickland’s Crossroads Road, off US701 South, on October 25, 2015. Two of the 5 people shot were critically wounded but did survive.
Officials have never released a motive but indicated the shootings were likely gang related. Detectives said the investigation into the shooting is still ongoing. 2015 scene photo by JoCoFire.com
