Selma Announces Hiring Of New Town Manager

SELMA – The Town of Selma has announced the hiring of Alexis Carter as its new Town Manager. Carter previously served as Assistant Town Manager for Princeville, NC.

“I am thankful for the opportunity to serve as the Town Manager,” said Carter. “My primary goal is to work collaboratively with the community, town officials, and staff to ensure we are building a vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive future for everyone. Together, we can continue to make the Town of Selma a place where people thrive.”

Carter brings a wealth of experience in public administration and a proven track record of fostering community growth and improving municipal services.

Carter holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the North Carolina Central University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Carter will begin her duties on January 31st.
