Selma Man Accused Of Causing Damage Inside County Jail

SMITHFIELD, N.C. — A Johnston County jail inmate is facing an additional criminal charge after authorities said he damaged a communications tablet inside the county detention center.
Eric Hall Creech, 26, of Selma was charged June 8 with misdemeanor injury to personal property following an incident that allegedly occurred three days earlier at the Johnston County Detention Center.
According to authorities, Creech damaged a tablet used by inmates to communicate with family members and access approved services while in custody. The damage was estimated at approximately $400.
Creech had already been incarcerated since May 24 after his arrest on a misdemeanor probation violation charge. His bond on that offense had been set at $2,000.
Following the new charge, a magistrate imposed an additional $25,000 secured bond on the injury to personal property charge.
At last report, Creech remained in custody following the filing of the new charge.

Wow what a thug
I’m not judging because people can absolutely just lose their temper. Especially being locked away it can really get to you. The ones that ruin it for everyone else though. Boy let me tell you! They just started letting people have tablets in jail. Like convicts can’t manage themselves.
It’s a shame he can’t get his life together. Looks like he enjoys being locked up like a cage Animal wonder how the grandparents that raised him Are feeling. Take me too proud of that
I was wondering the same thing, I kept him in daycare and would have never thought he would turn out like this.
The face of someone with no future.
Where are the parents???
He has WONDERFUL grandparents who raised him , he does wrong on his own. Eric is a good guy just showing out for whatever reason. I pray one day he will change his life around.
