One arrest has been made and more arrests are expected following a residential break-in near Four Oaks.
On July 30th, a home in the 1200 block of US 701 South was burglarized and several items, including a Playstation were taken. The video game system was later sold by the suspect to a business in Smithfield.
Michael Brandon Roberson, 23, of Hinnant Road, Selma was charged with breaking and entering, larceny, and obtaining property by false pretenses.
Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Tammy Amaon said more arrests are anticipated. Detectives are also working to see if the suspects may be linked to other unsolved break-ins in the area.
