Selma Woman Faces Four Felony Charges Involving Juvenile

SELMA, N.C. – A Johnston County Sheriff’s Office investigation involving a juvenile has led to the arrest of a 50-year-old Selma-area woman on four felony charges.
Angela Ann Pope, of Pine Level-Micro Road, was taken into custody Sept. 4.
Pope was charged with two counts of first-degree forcible sex offense, one count of indecent liberties with a child, and one count of committing a sex act by a substitute parent or custodian.
The Sheriff’s Office said the allegations involve a juvenile under the age of 18.
Investigators said the case was first reported Sept. 1.
Because the alleged victim is a juvenile, authorities did not release additional details about the circumstances surrounding the investigation.
Pope was being held without bond at the Johnston County Detention Center in Smithfield.
