Semi Catches Fire Following Three Vehicle Crash

DUNN – All lanes of Interstate 95 near Dunn were closed for several hours Monday morning following a three vehicle accident.

Shortly before 5:00am, a box truck, gasoline tanker, and pickup truck collided near the 71 mile marker.

The cab of the semi truck caught fire and was burning when fire units arrived.

Due to the limited supply of water, additional fire units were requested to shuttle water to the scene.

At least one person was transported to the hospital.

All lanes of the interstate reopened around 9:45am
