At their September meeting, the NC Department of Transportation received approval from Johnston County Commissioners to add the following streets to the State Maintained System in Johnston County:
- Ocracoke Island Way, Topsail Island Drive, Harkers Island Drive, Brunswick Island Court, Portsmouth Island Drive and Bald Head Island Drive – Island Creek Subdivision – Cleveland Township
- Scarlet Oak Run, Spanish Oak Way, Sawtooth Oak Trail and Leather Oak Trail – Oakwood Subdivision – Cleveland Township
