Sheriff Steve Bizzell Files For Re-Election
JOHNSTON COUNTY – Steve Bizzell, Sheriff of Johnston County, filed Monday afternoon for another term as Johnston County’s chief law enforcement officer.
“I look forward to continuing to serve as your Sheriff, providing the number one priority of government – public safety, while balancing going by the book with leading from the heart. I humbly ask for your prayers to keep us all safe, your support, and your vote.”
Sheriff Bizzell was joined by his grandson, Bobby, while filing at the Johnston County Board of Elections Office.
Sheriff Bizzell announced in October he would seek re-election.

Anybody who has ever dealt with the sheriff personally knows what a class act he is.
They’re only three Groups of people who would support the former employee running against him
1. Disgruntled employees who failed to meet the High standards of the sheriff.
2. Criminals or other people who Were arrested and blame LEO.
3. People Who are just uninformed and believe everything they read by his opponent. Friends and family of his opponent.
You are delusional or at minimum a paid supporter.
Nah I think he is spot on. Haven’t met anyone yet who doesn’t sing praises about Sheriff Bizzell. I’m sure outlaws, disgruntled employees and his opponents family do not like him. That just means he is doing a great job. I don’t know him but know guys who work for him and they all say he’s hard working and saves taxpayers tons.

So to be clear, I have voted for Steve 7 times and would again if we didn’t have a better choice. We are not disgruntled at all. What we are absolutely positive about is that Randy is the candidate to lead our sheriff’s department into the future. We can’t afford to let this opportunity pass us by. Don’t take my word for it, go to Randy Ackley for Sheriff and read our platform.

Sounds like Steve was doing a fine job 7 times in a row and even hired your son-in-law multiple times. But I must say, the fact his father-in-law thinks he’s the best candidate everyone should just throw in the towel and take your word for it, huh?
Also, who is “our” isn’t Randy Ackley the candidate or is he somehow beholden to you? Are you also a candidate for Sheriff?
So Randy quit and then went back to the Sheriffs office 3 times and worked at Clayton four oaks, Wilson mills and Smithfield in between? Sounds like he is not a committed guy. Quits when things get hard, not a good look for a sheriff.
Our current sheriff has guided this county through several natural disasters, the Floyd riots, school lockdowns and other events that got out of hand in neighboring counties.
I can appreciate your unconditional support for your son-in-law though.
