The shooting death of a teenager in Wayne County is being treated as murder.
Around 9:15pm Monday, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and Wayne County EMS responded to a shooting on Rollingwood Drive near Dudley.
Fifteen year-old Deyelle Morrisey was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound. His body was sent to the NC Medical Examiner’s Office in Raleigh for an autopsy.
Investigators said Tuesday the death may have been gang related.
