Did someone fire a gun into a vehicle on Interstate 95 in Johnston County? That’s what Johnston County sheriff’s investigators are trying to determine.
A South Carolina couple was returning to their home from Virginia Sunday night when the passenger window on their truck shattered near the 106 mile marker in Kenly.
The couple said they felt like something passed in front of their faces as the glass window shattered, leading the couple to think it may have been a bullet. Luckily, the couple who are in their mid-50’s were not injured.
They stopped to report the 8:50pm incident to authorities before continuing home.
Anyone who saw any suspicious activity on I-95 near Kenly on Sunday night is asked to contact the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
