No injuries were reported after a gunshot was fired into a home Saturday night on Highway 39 North near Corinth Holders Fire Station # 2.
Around 9:10pm, a man and his wife were in their home and heard a loud pop. They went to investigate and found a shattered window. They also discovered a bullet that had pierced the window and had landed inside their home.
Johnston County deputies responded to the scene and confirmed the incident. The victim said they often hear gunfire in the area. Authorities don’t believe the shooting was intentional but are still trying to find the person who fired the gun.
