The search is underway for a missing 81 year-old man. A Silver Alert has been issued for Arthur Pickens who was reported missing Tuesday by his family.
Pickens was last seen around 9:00am yesterday and is believed to have left on foot from his house on Jones Street in Eureka. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said Pickens may be trying to get to Washington, D.C.
Pickens, who is 6 feet tall and weighs 170 pounds, was last seen walking away from his home wearing a white long sleeve shirt, black pants and a dark blue baseball cap.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact their nearest law enforcement agency.
