A small sink hole formed Sunday next to Powhatan Road near the entrance to Novo Nordisk.
A 2 inch water line that services Novo broke causing the leak. The Town of Clayton responded immediately and fixed the leak but not before it caused a small sink hole.
Clayton officials said there was no way to determine how much water was lost because the leak occurred on the town’s side of the water meter at Novo.
Town utility crews temporarily filled the hole with gravel and will make permanent repairs as soon as possible. Photos by John Payne
