The Town of Smithfield announces the hiring of Brian Eaves to fill the newly created position of Marketing and Communications Specialist.
Brian has nearly 20 years of experience in all facets of media, including audio, video, radio and social media. In this position, Brian will help promote all of the wonderful things about the Town of Smithfield to citizens and visitors.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Town of Smithfield as the Marketing and Communications Specialist,” Eaves said. “We have so much to offer – excellent schools, recreation, shopping, dining and more. What a fabulous place this is.”
Eaves earned an A.A. Degree in Business Administration from Johnston Community College and B.S. Degree in Business Management and Human Resources from Barton College. He has been married to his wife, Andrea, for 18 years and has three children ages 7, 8 and 14. He is a member of Hocutt Baptist Church in Clayton.
“This has been a lengthy hiring process and we appreciate the patience of the many highly qualified applicants”, states Human Resources Director Tim Kerigan.
Brian will begin his full-time duties with the Town of Smithfield on December 17th. His annual salary will be $42,369.
