Smithfield Man Hospitalized After Midday Shooting
SMITHFIELD – A Smithfield man is recovering after arriving at Johnston Medical Center on Monday afternoon with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police said 36-year-old Tirom Toler showed up at the hospital’s emergency department around 1:00 p.m. suffering from a gunshot believed to have occurred only minutes earlier.
Investigators later determined the shooting happened near the intersection of Harris Street and Collier Drive.
According to the Smithfield Police Department, the incident does not appear to be random, and detectives are working to identify the person responsible.

The shooter is a threat to society that keeps getting a slap on the wrist…. HE WAS LITERALLY RELEASED FROM PRISON SUNDAY AND SHOT SOMEONE MONDAY!!

accountable for what they do instead of being slapped on the wrist and being told “Now don’t you do that anymore”, like a child. That’s one reason all these crimes are happening because they know that nothing is going to be done to them. They aren’t afraid of the consequences because, many times, there aren’t any.
