SMITHFIELD – Elaine Andrews has been selected to serve as the new town clerk for the Town of Smithfield. She will begin her new position Monday, October 14th.
Andrews has been employed with the town since 1998, serving in a variety of capacities, most recently as its payroll/accounting technician. She replaces Shannan Parrish, who was recently promoted to the position of Human Resources Director.
“I am extremely humbled and overjoyed to be named Smithfield’s next Town Clerk, said Andrews. “I have seen Smithfield grow immensely in my time here and I’m excited to see all the progress that is yet to come!”
Andrews attended DeVry University, has Career Readiness Certifications from Johnston Community College as well as Career training from UNC Charlotte’s College of Continuing Education.
