State Lawmakers Override Gov. Stein’s Veto Of HB 318: The Criminal Illegal Alien Enforcement Act
RALEIGH — The North Carolina House of Representatives today (Tuesday) voted to override Governor Stein’s veto of House Bill 318 — The Criminal Illegal Alien Enforcement Act.
HB 318 strengthens legislation passed last biennium that requires sheriffs to cooperate with ICE to remove illegal aliens charged with serious crimes from our communities.
The override vote ensures that HB 318 becomes law despite the Governor’s objections.
Speaker Destin Hall said, “Governor Stein and Democrats side with criminal illegal aliens, but the House stands with North Carolinians. North Carolina sheriffs must put public safety above politics and enforce the law, not help criminals escape it.”

That is very good news. Illegal aliens are already criminals just by being here illegally. Every one of them need to be deported and placed at the back of the line to come here legally. Why do democrats and liberals not understand that? It’s common freaking sense.

This is a shame due to now people who are here in the country illegally as everyone likes to say will be afraid to call police and what now they have to live in North Carolina just as they would in their country scared of the police scared to report a crime. they have rights just like everyone here! Some of yall that has never been to the real cities of mexico will never understand they struggle the corruption. Due to all yall ever go is the nice places to vacation.
They have no rights because they are not citizens of the United States or North Carolina. If they had come legally, that would be different.
If you’re not doing something illegal you don’t have to worry! If you’re in the country illegally you should go back to your home country and attempt to immigrate legally.
Actually, illegal aliens do NOT and should NOT have the same rights legal US citizens. They need to go back to their country and fix the problems there. Instead of causing problems here.

If im not mistaken American citizens do crimes, rape, kill and rob people so what makes them have rights and not illegals that some come here just to work and make a good living. You know everybody blames illegals when one illegal does a crime but no one blames all American citizens when they’re doing crime

If all those wanting illegals to stay in the US would be the only ones to house, clothe, feed, educate and pay their medical bills I’d have no problem. The issue is you want all American tax payers to pay for them. I don’t want to. Tax dollars should only be spent on America and its citizens.
