A stolen car was involved in a brief high speed chase this afternoon (Tuesday) on Interstate 95 in Johnston County. Around 2:00pm, a Johnston County Sheriff’s Office SAFE Team deputy attempted to stop the stolen vehicle on I-95 at the 87 mile marker near Four Oaks.
The vehicle failed to pull over and continued northbound on the interstate. Just before the Highway 70 Business Exit in Smithfield, the stolen car was involved in a minor collision.
The driver was taken into custody.
No additional details have been released.

Four Oaks quite zone is a mistake. Trains in every town should blow the horns. It is a safety precaution.

When are people going to learn, DON’T MESS AROUND WITH THE JCSO. They will get you and if you crash you are lucky to live not that you deserve to but God must want you to live. I say that because these people do not care if they kill some one or a LEO in the chase.
