Report: Stranger Gets Into Car, Refuses To Leave

MICRO — A 53-year-old woman was arrested after law enforcement officers said she entered a stranger’s vehicle and refused to leave.

Barbie June Bailey, of Main Street, Micro, was taken into custody by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred around 7:35 a.m. Jan. 20, when a 55-year-old Micro resident reported that Bailey got into their car on Main Street at US 301 and would not follow verbal commands to exit.

Deputies located Bailey at a nearby convenience store, where she was questioned and subsequently arrested. She was charged with felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle.

The incident was captured on a nearby security camera. Authorities said the victim was not harmed, and a motive for the incident has not been determined.
