Volunteers from the Strickland’s Crossroads Fire Department south of Four Oaks helped brighten the day of a 16 year-old girl on her birthday.

Sweet 16 was certainly unique for Addie Grace Nichols who received birthdays cards and had a virtual birthday party. Unfortunately, due to the stay at home order, there was no big gathering of friends and family.
However, members of the Strickland’s Crossroads Fire Department heard about Addie being locked down at home so they sent a fire truck by her house to wish her a happy birthday. It put a big smile on Addie’s face and will be a birthday she will never forget.
