Strong thunderstorms, heavy rain and high winds moved through Johnston County this morning.
A numbers of trees fell on power lines causing nearly 1,000 power outages Monday morning in Johnston County, according to Duke Energy. As of 1:30PM, the number of outages was down to 385. The majority of those were in the Four Oaks area. Power is expected to be restored to all homes in Johnston County by this evening, a Duke Energy spokesperson said.
Johnston County Emergency Services Director Kevin Hubbard said there were no flooding issues reported. A tree did fall on one home on Highway 301 North of Selma. No injuries were reported.
A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 4:00PM this afternoon.
