A Franklin County man has been arrested on attempted murder charges following a shooting at a home in northern Johnston County.
Christopher Jessie Williams, 26, was arrested Monday night at his home in Bunn by 
Franklin County authorities. Around 11:00am Monday, Johnston County deputies said Williams went to an address on Will Road and argued with a relative. During the argument he reportedly fired a gun outside the residence.
Williams then went inside the home and confronted his relative’s girlfriend. During the confrontation he fired a gun at the 32 year-old woman narrowly missing her. The bullet struck a kitchen wall causing damage. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Williams was returned Tuesday to the Johnston County Jail where he is being held without bond on attempted murder and parole violation charges. He is held on a $250,000 bond on drug-related charges out of Franklin County.
