BENSON – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in connection with a break-in discovered last month at the Taco Bell / KFC located at 12340 Highway 210, Benson near the I-40 interchange.
On June 12th, an employee arrived at work and discovered the front glass door had been shattered and an undisclosed amount of money had been stolen from the business.
On July 2nd, Michael Anton Johnson of Susan Drive, Garner was arrested by deputies and charged with breaking and entering, larceny, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Johnson was incarcerated in the Johnston County Jail on a $100,000 secured bond.
Authorities did not disclose how they were able to link the 33 year-old suspect to the break-in.
