Suspects Caught Fleeing Scene Of Business Break-In

JOHNSTON COUNTY – Two people are facing criminal charges after allegedly being caught fleeing from the scene of a business break-in.

Around 5:29am August 2, Johnston County deputies responded to a burglar alarm at Cleveland Vape and Tobacco, located at 11007 Cleveland Road, Garner.

As officers approached the business, they saw a vehicle exiting the parking lot without any headlights. Officers conducted a traffic stop and located two people in the car and property later determined to have been stolen from the business.

Erick Petatan-Pastrana, age 19, of Winding Oak Way, Clayton was charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny, and conspiracy. He was given a $60,000 secured bond.

A second suspect, under age 18, was charged in juvenile court. Their name was not released because of their age.

Officers recovered approximately $3,600 in items stolen during the burglary.
