A Johnston County Grand Jury has indicted three Garner men for the 2014 armed robbery of a Clayton business.
On January 14, 2014, two cashiers at Walgreen’s on US 70 in Clayton were held at gunpoint and robbed. Working with the Raleigh, Garner and Fuquay Varina Police Departments, Clayton Police identified 23 year-old Richard McKay, 25 year-old Demetrich Anderton, and 26 year-old Timothy Cooper as the suspects.
They were originally arrested in 2014. This month, a Grand Jury in Smithfield indicted McKay and Anderton on robbery and kidnapping charges. Cooper was indicted for conspiracy to commit the robbery.
