The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance identifying two men wanted for questioning in a fraud investigation. The two suspects pictured are believed to have used a stolen credit card number taken from a Johnston County resident while at a Food Lion in Wilson on December 16th.
Additional credit card numbers were also used by the suspects to purchase Visa gift cards. The suspects may have used skimmed numbers unknowingly taken from the victims. Skimmers often clone the number onto a counterfeit card. Oftentimes the victims do not realize their card number has been stolen until they receive a monthly statement from the card company.
