A suspicious fire caused extensive damage to a home under construction. The fire was reported Friday night on Hilmont Drive in the Mason Park subdivision off Josephine Road in the Cleveland community.
The home, owned by Adams Homes of Garner, sustained approximately $25,000 in damages.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office said the fire appears to have been intentionally set. The Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office is assisting with the investigation.
