KENLY – A two-vehicle accident caused one vehicle to burst into flames. It happened Saturday on Old Dam Road at Old Beulah Road near Kenly.
The driver of a heavily damaged white Dodge Ram pickup was transported to Wake Medical Center with unknown injuries.
The driver of a small red Ford SUV was sent spinning as it burst into flames. The driver and passenger were very shaken by the wreck but quickly exited the burning vehicle unharmed.
“This is the first time I’ve ever been in a crash like this,” the driver said.
Charges were pending the outcome of the investigation by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Bethany Fire and Johnston County EMS responded to the scene.
