SELMA – A 17 year-old driver reportedly avoided a head-on crash by swerving off the roadway and crashing into a power pole, Wednesday afternoon, in the 8000 block of Buffalo Road.
Witnesses said that the young driver was passing another vehicle on Buffalo Road at the time of the single vehicle mishap. The teen suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol investigated the accident. Charges are pending.
Young drivers, please, please do not do the following,
1) Don’t run from the law.
2) Don’t text and drive.
3) Don’t have your music to loud.
4) Don’t drive to fast.
If you do not follow the don’t rules you may end up dead. Now remember when you are dead and gone you will feel no pain but think of your family, they will have to deal with you being dead for the rest of their lives. I hope that being this blunt will get thru the part of your brain that tells you, that only happens to other people. Remember, you could end up being one of the other people.
How do you know they will feel no pain? Those in Heaven will not, but few take that path.
