Teen Hospitalized, Suspect Arrested After Johnston County Stabbing
BENSON, N.C. – A 17-year-old is hospitalized with serious injuries after being stabbed during an altercation early Sunday morning south of Benson.
The incident happened around 2:20 a.m. in the parking lot of McLamb’s LP Gas & Supply on N.C. 242, about three miles south of Benson.
According to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, the victim and suspect, identified as 18-year-old Ulises Perez of Newton Grove, had agreed to meet in the parking lot following an ongoing dispute.
Authorities said the two began fighting before Perez allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the 17-year-old.
The business was closed at the time. Investigators said neither the victim nor Perez had any connection to the business and that the parking lot was simply chosen as a meeting place.
The victim was transported to WakeMed, where he was last reported in serious but stable condition.
Perez was arrested Sunday and charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
He was held without bond pending his first court appearance.

This is a perfect example of why the school systems need to have classes on conflict resolution. Fighting proves nothing! It might make one feel like he’s tougher or the bigger person than the other depending on who wins the fight when in reality it makes them both look like fools. If these two people would have bothered to sit down and talk out their differences it’s possible they could have avoided this unfortunate situation causing them both trouble and harm and may have walked away being friends.
That’s an issue for parents, not schools. Schools need to teach the basics like they used to and parents need to PARENT like they used to. Too many baby makers just pop out babies for welfare checks.

Lol, what planet are you from. Young boys will fight, that is what they do. What a silly comment by a girl or wishes to be a girl. Had a fight, someone got hurt, moving on. Maybe they can get matching butterfly tats on their legs and make-up. The knife was over the top, but a fight is what it is.
