A Johnston County teen was sent to the hospital due to a late-night accident caused by a suspected impaired driver. The two vehicle collision was reported about 10:30pm Thursday on Highway 96 North of Selma at Sauls Lane.
A pickup truck driver reportedly turned into the path of a young woman as she was passing Pippin’s Mobile Home Park, causing serious injuries. She was transported to Wake Med.
Johnston County EMS, the Thanksgiving Fire Department and State Highway Patrol responded.
The pickup driver was taken into custody at the wreck scene and transported to the Johnston County Jail.
