Teenager Says He Was Robbed On Rural Roadway

SELMA — The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported armed robbery that occurred on Thorne Road north of Selma.

An 18-year-old Johnston County resident told deputies he arranged through social media to purchase THC vape pens from an individual advertising the items for sale. The two agreed to meet on Thorne Road on Feb. 16.

During the meeting, the suspect allegedly lifted his shirt and displayed a handgun in his waistband, then demanded the victim’s money. The suspect reportedly took $270 in cash and left the area.

The incident was reported to the Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 17. No arrests have been announced. The investigation is ongoing.

      Under North Carolina law, any cannabis with more than 0.3 % Delta-9 THC remains illegal for recreational or medical use. That includes traditional marijuana products and homemade cannabis.

  2. The fact that this kid called the cops is hilarious. I’m sure the guy who did the robbery thought nobody in their right mind would call the police and admit they were trying to buy drugs and they were robbed. But they failed to think, most people are not in their right minds this day and age lol
