CSX officials will temporarily close several railroad crossings in Lucama, Kenly and Benson for track maintenance.
In Lucama, the Main Street and Hill Street crossings will close May 3rd and reopen by May 7th weather permitting.
In Kenly, the Aycock Crossing near Highway 301 will close May 10th and reopen May 13th. And in Benson, the Main Street crossing will close from May 17th and reopen May 21st.
Drivers should use caution and be prepared for the temporary closures. Signs will alert drivers to detour around the blocked crossing.
