Thefts Reported At Johnston County Farm

BENTONVILLE – Two thefts a week apart at the same location are now under investigation.

The owners of a farm facility on Harper House Road in the Bentonville community, south of Four Oaks, reported approximately 700 ft of cattle fencing had been cut and stolen from the farm on March 30.

On April 6, someone stole a 2021 John Deere Gator utility vehicle equipped with a spraying system.

The stolen fence was valued at $1,000. The UTV and sprayer was valued at $20,000.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. Authorities have not said if they think the two thefts are connected.
