Three Arrested Following Princeton-Area Drug Investigation

PRINCETON, N.C. – Three people were arrested Sept. 3 after a three-month undercover investigation led Johnston County Sheriff’s Office narcotics agents to a home on Wellons Boyette Road outside Princeton.

Agents said they executed a search warrant at the residence and seized cocaine and prescription pills.

Those arrested were Joseph Francis Eonta Jr., 74, of Wellons Boyette Road, Princeton; Nester A. Eason, 62, of West Second Street, Princeton; and Kandi Michelle Neal, 51, of Dartmouth Glen Drive, Garner.

Eonta was charged with maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a controlled substance, simple possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $10,000.

Eason was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine, simple possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was also set at $10,000.

Neal faces the most serious charges, including three counts of trafficking in opium or heroin. She was also charged with maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana. Her bond was set at $125,000.

The Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains ongoing.
