Three Separate Accidents Cause Major Delays On I-95

FOUR OAKS – Three separate accidents, along the same stretch of Interstate 95 in Johnston County, caused major traffic delays on Memorial Day.

The crashes happened just after 3:00pm Monday, just north of the US 701 Exit, near Four Oaks.

A total of eight vehicles, including one tractor trailer, were involved in the collisions. Thirteen people sustained minor injuries. Many were treated at the scene by Johnston County EMS.

Both southbound lanes and one northbound lane were closed until the wrecked vehicles could be cleared.

The State Highway Patrol is investigating the mishap.

  1. Dangerous stretch. Believe it’s that area that is part of what they call dead man’s something.

  2. Well you see so many people with their phones stuck in their faces,if someone slows down there an automatic rear end.
